Co-working has become the new normal in that it has become the expected and preferred workplace of today’s workforce. Co-working , as well as other flexible workspaces, are known for offering environments that are conducive to innovation, collaboration, and productivity. Green life is a hypothetical company created for this co-working space located in downtown Savannah. The design is focused on connecting the aesthetic and nutriment of the healthy food to create a special environment that equipped with all amenity for them to run a successful business.
The concept is inspired by the leaf structure of Lettuce, which is one of the super healthy food. The leaf is the site of two major processes: gas exchange and light capture, which lead to photosynthesis. These processes can also work on the distribution of this workplace. Exchange can refer to exchange ideas and collaborate with others, like the open spaces. Light capture can refer to receive works and self-control, like the closed areas, mostly for the employees that are responsible for the heads down work, who prefer to work independently without disturbing effects.
Twenty years ago, people were not concerned about obesity rates, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or the negative health effects of processed foods. Americans frequented fast food restaurants and drank diet soda believing it was best for their waistlines. Today, organic goods are available in most supermarkets, fast casual restaurants boosting fresh, natural ingredients have gained in popularity, and people are starting to seek their own healthier way for the better quality of diet.
